A scamming couple distracted a woman by asking for directions so they could steal thousands of pounds from her bank account at a supermarket in Chelmsford.
The woman, aged in her 60s, was in her car outside Sainsbury's in White Hart Lane, Chelmsford, when a man and a woman approached and asked for directions.
She opened the passenger side window and one of the suspects leant in, claimed they were lost and showed her a map.
They then removed her bank cards from her handbag on the passenger...
