A farmer has to pay almost £4,000 after he left a bull's ingrowing horn form behind its eye.Philip Coulson, 54, of The Street, Black Notley, was charged in November 2014 with causing unnecessary suffering to the animal sent to slaughter, after an investigation by Essex Trading Standards officers.The inspectors found the bull had an ingrown horn which had punctured its skin and was growing behind its eye, causing bruising.Essex Trading Standards officers were alerted to the case by a vet...
