Man critical after falling from bridge onto Witham railway

A man is in a critical condition after falling onto railway tracks near Witham station last night.Emergency services were called to the railway station just before 8.30pm to reports that a man, aged 68, was injured. It is understood that he fell onto the tracks, possibly from a bridge, sustaining serious head and chest injuries.
