Firefighters called to cooker blaze in Dunmow

Fire crews were called to a pan alight on a cooker, in Bennett's Lane, in North End, Dunmow. One crew from Dunmow and one from Braintree were called to the blaze at 12.56pm yesterday (April 5). Wearing breathing apparatus and using a dry powder fire extinguisher, crews had extinguished the fire by 1.23pm. They also used a thermal imaging camera to ensure that there were no hot-spots.
