Braintree District Museum has teamed up with an American university to find out more about the thousands of United States servicemen and women posted to the town and surrounding areas during the Second World War.From Pygote to Fortress Europe, a film about the 381st Bomb group stationed at Ridgwell near Halsted from 1943 to 1945, will be shown to visitors on Saturday (June 4) from 11am to 1pm at the Manor Street venue.
