A man has denied assaulting an ex-soldier with a pool cue at a Chelmsford pub.
Lloyd Kenlen, 27, of no fixed address, has been charged with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm (GBH).
The alleged attack happened at the Red Beret in Melbourne Avenue on Monday, July 6.
Wearing a grey jumper, at Chelmsford Crown Court today (Monday, September 21), Kenlen pleaded not guilty via video link.
