Children in Essex may be at risk of harm from sexual predators as the police are not giving out details of sex offenders when they should do so, a children's charity has warned.
Since Sarah's Law began in April 2011, just one in six applications for information have been successful in Essex.
The police force gave information about people who pose a risk to children in just 16 per cent of applications, which equates to 30 out of 192 applications.
